The Lobster Quadrille
I've found a Youtube clip of a Victorian quadrille. Blimey, it ain't half a barrel of laughs, eh? No wonder Carroll thought it might be more entertaining if danced by lobsters.
It definitely looks like it's more for showing off your new dress than anything else. I could see it done by lobsters, though. Quite elegant.
